A little bit more about our Founder
Oliver is a popular and well-respected leader with over 30 years of experience delivering outstanding results in a variety of industries and sectors, principally in the Food, drink, and hospitality arenas. He has an impressive track record of transforming business and has held Senior Executive roles with Global Market Leaders such as Diageo (in Europe and North America) and Compass Group PLC in both Global and UK & Ireland roles.
During his time at Compass UK & Ireland he was key in establishing the overall Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, and drove transformative improvements in sustainable sourcing in their £700m supply chain. Oliver is passionate about people, transparency and ethics in an organisation, and was the first Executive Sponsor for the Compass LGBT+ network when it was formed in 2016.
Oliver has consistently developed and led the highest performing, award winning teams within organisations. This success has largely been built through developing a common vision and empowering his people to deliver excellence.
As an acknowledged and well-respected Procurement and Supply chain expert, Oliver has been a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply since 2011 and was named in CIPS inaugural Procurement Power List of the top 30 Procurement professionals in 2018. He is a regular speaker at many high profile conferences.
Our Charity Partner
Oliver explains his connection to Duchenne UK.
“In late 2015, a friend suggested that I take part in the Duchenne Dash, scheduled for the following summer. This was a 24-hour charity bike ride from London to Paris in support of Duchenne UK. I had no personal connection to the charity and no knowledge of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy as a disease.
I took part in the 2016 Dash as an individual. It was challenging and life affirming at the same time. To meet the parents, families and friends of children who were suffering, and to see the determination of all of them, particularly the co-founders of Duchenne UK, to defy the odds and beat the disease was awe-inspiring. Since then, I have brought teams back every year. 2021 will be my 6th Dash and will also mark the launch of Zircon Consulting and we are proud to have Duchenne as our charity partner.
